Course Overview

Master Courses

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education, masters students must have completed at least 24 credits within the required period of study of one to four years.

Core Courses
Sequencing Technology and High-throughput Data Analysis, Structural Bioinformatics, Machine Learning in Computational Biology, Statistical Thermodynamics. (select two from these four courses)

Departmental Seminars
Students are required to complete two credits if their study period is one year; three credits if the study period is one and a half years; and four credits if the study period is two years or above.

Thesis in the Biological Science and Technology
Students are required to complete two credits if their study period is one year; three credits if the study period is one and a half years; and four credits if the study period is two years or above. The credits acquired are not counted towards the total credits required for graduation.

Special Topic Seminar in Bioinformatics (MS)
Students are required to complete at least two credits during the study period and only two credits will be counted towards the total credits required for graduation.

Doctoral Courses

According to regulations, doctoral students must have completed 15 credits (excluding Thesis and Departmental Seminar courses) within the required period of study. A minimum of 9 of those courses must be taken within the College of Biological Science and Technology.
